The Integrated Family and Youth Service (IFYS) provides a range of specialist support and intervention programs for children, young people and families. Working closely with other non-government and government agencies, the organisation operates from numerous locations throughout Queensland ranging from Brisbane through to the far north of the state.

About the Opportunity

IFYS has exciting opportunities for Residential Care Workers within its Residential Care Programs in Brisbane, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Mackay, Rockhampton and the Sunshine Coast.

Consistent with the mission of IFYS and the Residential Care Program Life Skills framework, these are fantastic roles for individuals with experience in working with young people to provide primary care and support to groups of four to five young people.

Residential Care Workers are responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people to heal, learn, grow and engage in the world with confidence. The program requires a strong commitment to a strength-based and child-centered approach to working with young people.

Successful candidates will have a high level of personal integrity with the ability to maintain work and personal boundaries. Relevant qualifications and/or experience will be highly regarded, but are not essential.

The successful applicants will receive attractive hourly rate between $19.47 - $21.36.
